Making the Most of a New Season: From Campground Management to Full-Time Travel

The beautiful colors of fall are a vivid reminder that there are only three weekends left in the camping season here in New England. As we wrap up our second year managing a campground in this beautiful corner of the country, we find ourselves eagerly anticipating the familiar rhythm of closing down, winterizing, and saying goodbye for the season. Soon, we’ll be trading campground life for life on the road once again—and returning to the full-time travel adventures that have become such an important part of our journey.
Our bucket list for this winter season includes spending time with our grandsons, visiting our favorite Kenturcky distillery - Buffalo Trace, returning to Louisiana for the people and the food, Key West and the three national parks in that area (Everglades, Dry Tortugas, and Biscayne), camping at Fort Wilderness and some fun at DisneyWorld, Cape Canaveral, and some other new experiences along the way.

Our bucket list for this winter is already taking shape, and it’s filled with a mix of family, favorite places, and new adventures. We’re looking forward to spending time with our grandsons, making a return visit to our favorite Kentucky distillery, Buffalo Trace, and heading back to Louisiana for two things we can never resist—the people and the food. From there, we’ll make our way to Key West and explore the three national parks in the area: Everglades, Dry Tortugas, and Biscayne. We’re also excited to camp at Fort Wilderness, enjoy some Disney World fun, visit Cape Canaveral, and, as always, leave plenty of room in the itinerary for the unexpected experiences and discoveries that make traveling so much fun.
So, we invite you to come along with us this winter as we share our adventures, experiences, and discoveries—and continue making the most of our dash.
